Actress Drew Barrymore announces divorce

Pennsylvania residents who are about to enter into a divorce may become more acutely aware of divorce stories that appear in the news. Although much about divorce cases covered in the news may be un-relatable to many -- they are, after all, usually about the rich and famous -- certain elements of these divorce cases may prove to be educational. By looking at how these celebrity divorce cases play out, Pennsylvania residents can often relate these situations to their own.

According to reports, the actress Drew Barrymore recently announced that she will undergo her third divorce. Reports say the Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman had been married since 2012. The pair have two children together, a three year old and a one year old. Barrymore and her husband released a statement to the press in which they said that their children are their first priority and they look forward to living the rest of their lives with their children as the number one priority.

Divorcing couples with children often have more to consider in divorce than those without. While all couples need to think about property division, alimony and the like, divorcing parents also have to consider child custody and child support. In all matters, children are the number one priority. The courts will look at the best interests of the children when making any decisions that might impact a child's life.

Understandably, many divorcing spouses have strong feelings when it comes to divorce. They may want to fight for certain outcomes. Attorneys are available to help divorcing spouses understand the various legal nuances involved in each case and help devise a strong divorce strategy that accounts for these legal complexities.
