Kris Humphries' and Kim Kardashian's divorce is settled

In Philadelphia, local residents have either experienced or heard about divorce. Some of them may have experienced it firsthand, during childhood, or from talking to friends or relatives who went through divorce. The truth is that the process itself is not easy, depending on the circumstances. There are cases when spouses are dragged into a drawn out dispute until they finally reach an agreement.

This was the case of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. The couple got married on Aug.20, 2011, and after 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce. Their divorce turned into a lengthy battle as Kris Humphries sought an annulment instead of a divorce. Finally, the two people reached an agreement pertaining to their legal divorce issues. The final judgment may be released on June 19, 2013, and both sides are getting ready to move on with their lives.

The couple signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding. However, the contents of the agreement have not been disclosed. Speculators are uncertain of what is inside the divorce settlement of the two celebrities.

The divorce of Kim and Kris may be a lesson for divorcing couples who are having a hard time agreeing on the issues of divorce. A lengthy divorce could affect their finances as well as the children who are often caught between their parents. One tip that could be of help to spouses is to control their emotions while handling divorce. This will help them to focus on important matters.

By working together to come to a settlement, spouses can quickly move on to their new lives. Furthermore, settlement provides couples the opportunity to craft a solution that fits their family instead of a judge deciding for them.
